Family Weekend

Family Weekend is a time to connect with your student, experience campus and have fun. Save the date for Family Weekend 2023! Join us Oct. 12-15听for this fun fall tradition.听

Buff Family Webinars and Coffee hours are engagement opportunities for our families to connect with New Student & Family Programs and each other. We will discuss a variety of topics each month.

Letters from Home

Letters from Home provides an opportunity for parents and families to write and submit some encouraging words to their student that will be emailed to them during the third week of the semester. The third week is typically one of the toughest times of transition where students are experiencing homesickness. These encouraging emails can be words of affirmation, opportunities for reflection, pride, or even hopes for the next four years. Submit some words to your student today!听

Fall Welcome is an opportunity to connect听with faculty, staff, students and fellow Buff families. We will offer specific in-person programs for families and hope you can join us.听

Marinus Smith Awards

The Marinus Smith Award recognizes faculty and staff members who have had a particularly positive impact on our students. Honorees are nominated by those they teach, mentor, support and serve.听In New Student & Family Programs, we believe that this award is particularly special, because nominators have taken it upon themselves to write about an individual who has made a remarkable impact on their time at the university.听
